Holy Worship Flag

I am highlighting this Holy Worship Flag because the scripture tells us to be Holy. 1Peter 1:16 states: Be ye holy; for I am holy. So I asked myself what is holy?  God never tells us to do something that is impossible. The meaning of holy is, separate, set-apart. The Bible calls God holy, meaning that God is transcendentally separate, sacred, reverend. He is beyond common thought or experience.  Holy has the connection of weight of glory. He surpasses all others, he is superior, uniquely holy with no rivals or competition. Holy means the pure, loving nature of God separate from evil. God is totally above his creation. “Who is like thee, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders? Exodus 15:11 There is no one beside thee neither is there any rock like our God.1Samuel 2:2  So I created this to honor God; and as a remembrance that we are to be holy as well. The scriptures tell us to be in the world not of the world. We need to separate ourselves from evil in thought word and deed. This Holy Worship Flag, reminds us  to be separate from the world, as God is. We are to be a light in a dark place, and not work the works of darkness. The Bible tells us to shun the very presence of evil. Our God is a Holy God; he is a Spirit and that is why the third person of the Trinity is called Holy Spirit.
